Recent years, RFID (Radio frequency identification) as its automatic identification and data capture of products is poised to fundamentally change the way companies in a supply chain track, assisting in defect reduction and decreasing direct labor etc, which make many companies show their interesting in this technology. However, what is not clear or one of the barriers to adoption of RFID by organizations is difficulty in assessing the potential return on investment (ROI).CLS Company as a international logistics company shows the interesting in employing RFID in its business process and still wonder if RFID can make their logistics management more efficient and wants to know what the biggest value is and how it can achieve the value if CLS employs RFID. Also CLS is caution due to the potential costs of developing the infrastructure required to perform these tracking activities.The goal of this thesis is to develop an evaluation model and tool to help CLS figure out where is the biggest value, what the value is and how CLS can achieve this value if CLS employ RFID in its business process.After case study, get the conclusion that it is Metallic parts and low labor cost are the two key challenge impact factors for CLS company's DC to employ RFID technology. For the CDC of CLS company, it is not the right time to employ RFID technology now.
