GPS is widely adopted in big—scale outdoor applications However,itsacceptable positioning accuracy cannot be obtained in indoor environmentwhere the satellite signal is weak As a complementary application,RFID—based indoor position technology is recently developed. In realenvironment there is no bridge between hardware devices and location—basedservice application system Therefore the study and realization ofRFID—basedreal—time location middleware is becoming very important RFID—basedreal—time location middleware is a type of software which bridges the RFIDhardware location device and RFID application system Its main functionalityincludes:accessing to kinds of RFID reader through consistent interface,managing configuration of RFID readers and tags,processing RFID eventsand pushing location information to the application system,etcIn this article,with in—depth research and analysis on the existinglocation engines,the structure of real—time location middleware is proposedModules including reader/writer accessing control,data processing,eventsengine,service push management and security control are defined Coremodule functions are analyzed and relationship between modules is describedWe studied the factors which affects the performance of the location servicebased on real environment applications,and proposed location middlewareperformance evaluation system,and ultimately achieved deployment and application of location middleware across networks,hardware and operatingsystems This article researched the indoor positioning algorithm based onShanghai Future Store'S demand and developed the functionality ofdemand—based positioning algorithm,by designing multiple positioningalgorithm in the middleware We improved fingerprint recognitionpositioning algorithm by combining machine learning and data mining,proposed category—based centralized positioning algorithm,and evaluated itscomplexity and error This article solved the problem that locationrequirements of Shanghai Future Store In the final step,vq-e studied thespecific requirement on RFID device management within a RFID middleware,developed the functionality of monitoring position device based on systemparametersThis article firstly summarized the theory,technology,algorithm andengine of positioning,compared and analyzed positioning engines developedby various companies and intemational standard Furthermore,the articlesummarized the requirements and challenges faced by RFID--based real--timelocation middleware Based on this,the structure of RFID—based positioningmiddleware vq-as defined and the relationship among modules is analyzed Thefingerprint recognition algorithm vq-as improved based on future positioningdemand of the store and the category—based centralized positioning algorithmwas proposed The device management in RFID positioning device vq-asstudied At last,this article described the overall design and realizationmethod of RFID positioning middle ware...
