The integration application of multi-source remote sensing information has being a hot spot of the researches of remote sensing information processing for many years. It is a technique and methodology about the combinational processing and use of all kinds of remote sensing data that come from different sources. The technique, which makes full use of the redundancy and complementation characteristics of multi-source remote sensing data and combines each data's advantage, can extract accurate, reliable, and stable remote sensing information from these data.However, the software systems that used to implement this technique have become the bottlenecks of the development of this technique in recent years. As the current systems have bad data organizing mechanism and poor performance when processing large data, they can neither be used to store, query massive remote sensing data nor to process these data in real time. This has restricted the use of the technique in the areas that have massive data and required to process data in real time. At the same time, due to the lack of generality, most of these systems can't be reused when the technique is used in a different area. Instead, a totally new system must be developed, which prevents the fast application of this technique in different areas. At last, the supported data types, algorithms and processing procedures of the current systems are fixed at design time, and they can't be changed after the technique being updated, which makes it impossible to apply new achievements of this technique immediately.An integration application system of multi-source remote sensing information that satisfies the requirements of the latest development of the technique is proposed, and the key part of the system is designed and implemented. First, the architecture of the system is designed, and the system is divided into two parts. They are the processing platform and the demonstrating platform, which are used to implement the key business logic and the user interface logic respectively. After that, the detail design and implementation of the processing platform are discussed. Compared with the old systems, the proposed system has the following advantages:(1) It is a fully open and general system. Almost everything of this system, including the supported data types, algorithms, procedures and tasks, can be expanded.(2) It has provided a whole solution for integration application of multi-source remote sensing information, including the efficient organizing of massive remote sensing data and the fast processing of large data. With secondary development over this system, special-purpose system for a specific area can be developed in a short time, which helps to apply the multi-source remote sensing information integration application technique in different areas quickly.(3) Both human-machines processing and predefined processing are supported by the proposed system. Thus it can be used as a platform to experiment different data processing algorithms, and it can also be used to construct an automated remote sensing information application system.(4) The system has been constructed on the mainstream BS infrastructure, which has made it easy to be deployed and updated. The infrastructure is also very suitable for data sharing and cooperation of different people. By running the most data processing procedures on the powerful backend servers, the system has improved its overall performance.
