Research On Application Development Of SSL Protocol

With the rapid development of Internet, the security of Internet information has been taken more and more attention, especially the Electronic Banking and Electronic Business. How to guarantee the security and integrity of information has become an urgent problem. SSL protocol was proposed firstly by Netscape company as the widely used security protocol, it offers many services include data encryption,both authentication and data integrity. Another advantage of SSL is the independence to application protocol. Currently, every business browser and server uses the SSL protocol to support secure web transaction.This paper firstly researched the SSL protocol principle and its related technology.Secondly, designed the SSL secure connection system by using JSSE tool package, programmed the Key Library, Digital Certificate operation and the communication of server and clients. It solved the problem that now the Key Library and Digital Certificates basically be achieved by Keytool tool in DOS, and the instructions should be entered are complex, which is unfit for general users. Thirdly, added the information of clients to MySQL database and developed a set of software which can achieve one server communicating safely with several clients. It solved the problem that now the SSL secure connection system based on JSSE almost be developed in backstage, the front desk software is little. The whole development task was done under NetBeans6.0 platform in Windows, used the Java programming language and the JDK of 1.4 Version.At last, finished the test work of the software, and added the CRC verification procedure in system to make the security verification of the communication process.
