Because of the high accuracy and the simply operating, pulse laser range measurement technology is broadly used in the field of military, geodetic survey, etc. However, the environment have a great influence on the pulse laser range measurement, especially on fuze-based range measurement. When the receiver subjected to intense light interference such as direct sunlight and lightning, or multi-path interference caused by clouds and smog, the location of the real target echo can be a tough job. Thus, it's an important issue to work out how to eliminate those interferences and locate the target echo. For the intense light interference problem, this paper make a deeply analysis of the empirical mode decomposition. The EMD method can decompose a complex signal into a finite numbers of intrinsic mode functions which present different scales in adaptive. Using this feature, an algorithm is proposed, which gives different processing method to IMFs with different scales. The simulation show good results to eliminate the intense light interference using this algorithm. With the reappearance of target echo, a high location accuracy is achieved. For the multi-path interference problem, this paper proposes three algorithms based on signal accumulation: location method using cepstrum, location method using amended extremum and location method using the modulus maximum. For each algorithm, this paper makes a discussion of the location theory and then gives the simulation results. A performance comparison of the three algorithms is also gived. Finally, the software design of the echo signal processing client application for pulse laser range measurement based on LabVIEW is introduced. This client application can give simulations on the anti-interference algorithms proposed in this paper, and can process the acquired data from a data file.
