Methods Of Service Value Modeling And Value-Aware Service Model Analysis

During these years, morden services have been rapidly developed. Most morden services are supported by IT service system. So, it promotes systematic researches on service engineering. Harbin Institute of Technology proposed"Service-oriented Model Driven Architecture", SMDA for short, base on Model Driven Architecture, MDA. The same as other service engineering methods, this method just concern about only two aspects– function and quality. It doesnot support another important aspect in service system– values. So considering service value,"Value-Aware Service Engineering & Methodology"(VASEM) is proposed.Researches on VASEM include basic concepts of service value, service value model, service value annotation, value-oriented model analysis, value-oriented model optimization, value-oriented service component selection, and so on. And it will focus on the first four parts in this paper.At first, it will give introductions about the concept, value classification, the relationship between value and service elements, the formal definition, dependency relationship, and value dimension. This is the basis for later research on this field.Then, it will show the value model architecture. It will introduce the Value Proposition Model, Participant-Oriented Value Network, and Value Dependency Model separately. it will describe the entities and its meaning, the shape of each model, properties of each entity, formal definition, and so on.Next, value annotation is the bridge to connect the value models and servicemodels. And it provides data for value-oriented model optimization next. Here, it focuses on the definition, the shape of model, properties of each entity. it will also formalize the definition. At last of this chapter, it will show the general principal and method for value annotation.Last but one, value-oriented model analysis is the key point in this thesis. In this chapter, it will introduce the aims and four aspects of model analysis. And it will show the formal description, data structure and algorithm of the four methods - Realizability Analysis, Realization Completeness Analysis, Sequence-Dependency Satisfiability Analysis and Calculation of Value Indicators.At last, it design and realize the prototype of modeling and analysis tool based on the theoretical studies above. It will introduce the main functional modules. Then it builds the service and values models for the case of Ocean Tranportaion Service, and analysis the values in the service system to make the verification.
