Service Model Methodologies Research Of Service Oriented Architecture

SOA is a new software architecture model, with advantage of a loose coupling,reusability, interoperability, and coarse-grained, etc. It allows companies to adjust and usetheir own existing service delivery model to achieve the reuse of existing resources, ratherthan being forced to a large-scale development of new application system codes. SOAdramatically improves the efficiency of software development, reducing enterprise IT costs tomeet the requirements of the enterprise within a short time to respond quickly to rapid marketchanging, achieved rapid alignment of the enterprise business and their IT systems. Therefore,the SOA has already become the main choice for the majority enterprises IT systemsarchitecture design, and has been widely used in enterprise applications.It was the Gartner Inc who first put forward the concept of SOA in1996, to the present,the theoretical system and technical basis of the SOA has a far-reaching development.However, till today, the SOA service modeling language and the development processguiding methodology has still not formed a uniform standard, which is a major impedimentcause of the SOA development. SOA should be further developed and we not only needcontinue to provide the standardization of related technologies, but also the guidance ofservice modeling methodology. However, existing service modeling language and modelingmethods is still difficult to meet the latest development requirements of the SOA project.In order to facilitate the development staff in the development process of servicemodeling, this paper present the expansion of the original UML metamodel for SOAdescription, which can more accurately and vividly describe the service, and can alsofacilitate the communication between business personnel and technical staff. Combined withthe existing service development process instructional methods, presented a new servicemodeling method for service-oriented development process, covers the analysis and designprocess of service modeling to solve the lack of a complete service modeling guidancemethod in the service-oriented development process.Finally, this paper gives an example of order processing system, this instance modelingwith the tools of Microsoft Office Visio and IBM RSA, and use the extended UMLmetamodels to build the service models, guide service analysis and design process accordingto the service modeling process method proposed in this article. Intend to illustrate a practicalmodeling method which can precisely and vividly describe the service modeling process.
