Spatial Information Network mainly consists of the satellite nodes, has the coverage of worldwide capacity, and provides a wealth of spatial information resources. Grid technology is developing rapidly with Internet technology. Grid technology integrated whole network into a single, large, super-computer. Grid realizes the completely share of computing resource, storage resource, information resource, knowledge resource and data resource.Spatial Information Grid puts Spatial Information Network and Grid technology together. According to the heterogeneous environment of spatial, Spatial Information Grid provide users with distributed, heterogeneous, integrated management of massive data, access, storage, transmission and other services. It is an effective program to achieve interoperability, on-demand services. Information exchange and transfer is one of important technologies of spatial information grid, and has significant research and practical value on the development of grid systems, is also the focus of this study.Five hourglass structure and Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA) had been studied in depth. Combination of the characteristics of spatial information network, we had built a layered, service-oriented, open architecture of Spatial Information Grid. Reference Web Services Mode,grid exchange model had been built, the respective functions and relationship between the information providers information requesters and information directory server had been determined. Taking into account the spatial mobility of nodes in the network, transmission delays of these large features, in order to achieve good usability, robust, and efficient exchange of information can be managed, the grid was divided and dynamic information domain was formed. The algorithm of partitioning domain and node changes in the inter-domain were determined. Dynamic information domain and exchange model were integrated, so, a distributed switching architecture model was formed. The modules of information registration, storage, enquiry in the information exchange model were designed. The requirement for space information transfer tasks was analyzed, the module of spatial information transmission was functional designed, the existing agreements were analyzed, the data transmission way of GridFTP and FTP was selected. Based on Quality of Service (QoS), the transmission strategy which are routing and resource allocation strategy was formulated.Finally, spatial information grid information exchange and transmission technology simulation system was constructed. Implementation process which of the information package, registration, storage, inquiry, transformation was described in detail.
