Combining with parameter uncertainties and uncertainty of external disturbance, robust control theory researches the system of robust performance analysis and comprehensive problem. It makes up for the lack of modern control theory need to mathematical models, and makes the system analysis and synthesis method more effective and practical. In recent years, H-infinity filtering attracts more attention. In actual industry, such as power, chemical reaction process, nuclear reactors, etc, we often meet with the design of H-infinity filters with time-delay and parameter uncertainties. Therefore, H-infinity filtering problems have important theoretical significance and application value. This paper studies the problem about the design of H-infinity filters of neutral systems and singular systems. The system's models and design methods are more generalized than others existing literatures. The main content as follows:First of all, the generation and application background of robust control are investigated. The robust H-infinity filtering theory, the recent development and the research method for the robust H-infinity filtering of the systems are also introduced.Secondly, the robust H-infinity filtering of neutral systems, singular systems with nonlinear perturbation and parameter uncertainties are severally considered. The sufficient conditions on the existence of robust H-infinity filters and design methods are derived by selecting some advisable Lyapunov functions.Thirdly, focuses on a class of uncertain neutral type singular system with mixed time-varying delays, the problem of delayed-dependent robust H-infinity filtering is discussed. The uncertainties are in a fractional form. The sufficient conditions on the existence of robust H-infinity filters are derived by structuring Lyapunov functions and using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory. The H-infinity filters can be obtained by solving the corresponding linear matrix inequality. The full-order filter designed guarantees not only the robust asymptotic-stability but also a prescribed disturbance attenuation level for the error system. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the design approach. At last, the conclusion and perspective are given.
