Ad Hoc network is a temporary multi-hop autonomous system composed of wireless mobile nodes without centralized management and fixed network infrastructure support. With increasing demand on networking mobility and flexibility imposed by modern communication technology, the application of Ad Hoc network has stretched to a wide range of areas. Trustworthy network service has urgent need to be deployed in Ad Hoc environment. However the characteristic that nodes are considered be trusted with each other in Ad Hoc network makes it easily being under various attacks. The problem of trustworthiness has become the bottleneck which hinders the development of Ad Hoc networks. Of all the trustworthy issues under Ad Hoc, the trustworthiness of routing protocols is one of the most important issues. So, it is pressing to solve the problem of routing trustworthiness under Ad Hoc network communication.After the research into background of Ad Hoc networks and routing protocols, this thesis proposes a trust model and framework that based on Bayesian theory. First, it gives the definition of trust and builds the trustworthy mechanism under Bayesian framework. It illustrates the definition and calculation algorithm for both trust value and confidence value, then proposes the algorithm for calculating node's trustworthiness value and describes the process method of link's trustworthiness value for getting routing's trustworthiness value, which is the basis for selection of trustworthy routing. This thesis also integrates the proposed trustworthy model and framework with Ad Hoc routing protocols, and does research on a typical routing protocol AODV based on which the trustworthy routing T-AODV is proposed with the consideration of both trustworthiness and performance. The T-AODV mechanism is framed in processes like routing discovery and routing maintenance, which includes small world model based RREQ message control, trustworthy RREQ handling method, the establishment and checking of multi trustworthy routing, the storage and selection of backup routing paths in node's routing table, and the improvement of route failure mechanism and hello mechanism in routing maintain process. At last, this thesis analyzes the T-AODV trustworthy routing protocol with simulation analysis on both trustworthiness and routing performance. It concludes that T-AODV is a trustworthy routing protocol which could also improve the network performance to a certain satisfied extent.
