Enterprises, whose businesses based on mechanical producing, will continue to purchase new mechanical equipments or assembly lines in the progressive development of their businesses. Application systems are likely to be based on different platforms, developing tools, operating systems, data formats or logic controlling modes. Therefore, each independent system is gradually formed an isolated "information island", which makes daily use and maintenance of application systems increasingly difficult. Under the pressure of market environment and competitive environment presently, enterprises need a unified controlling system across these "information islands"in order to enhance the competitiveness of their businesses.Therefore, a solution, which could be compatible with a wide range of capabilities to support different platforms, data formats and multiple connectivity options, is required. In the Internet environment, the realization of the system should be loosely coupled, platform-crossed, language-independent, and unrelated to specific interfaces, but reliable accesses to Web applications are well provided. Service-oriented architecture has features of coarse-grained, loosely coupled, can be integrated, easily re-use, services shared, joint control, and so on. Different units, which are called services of an application system, are linked together by well-defined interfaces and protocols. Generally, these protocols are defined by a neutral approach and independent of specific hardware environments, operating systems and programming languages.SOA-based architecture of mechanical automatic processing system fully utilizes the advantages of SOA architecture. Therefore, application systems, which were purchased at different times or based on different technical background and so on, could be integrated into an organic, highly efficient and unified platform. Business flow, data and application are separated strictly, which is convenient to meet the needs of rapid business requirements and system maintenance.
