Recent development of Internet technology has been growing dramatically, leading people to a brand-new world. It has become one of the most active fields in the development of the world technology, since the 20th centry. In particular, compared with the current Internet protocol IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4), the next generation Internet protocol IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) has significant advantages not only in the address space, security and quality of service, but also provides a more thorough and comprehensive support for mobility. Mobile IPv4 itself has some inherent defects, so that it can not meet the needs of the rapid development of mobile communication. Mobile IPv6 standards have been introduced and become an integral part of the IPv6 protocol. Mobile IPv6 node tracking and locating technology have become a hotspot in academic research and one of the difficulties at home and abroad.In this paper, we aim at mobile IPv6 and its related agreements, AAA authentication, positioning and tracking mobile node and so on and start an in-depth research, which mainly including the following three areas:1. Analysis Mobile IPv6 and its related protocols. According to the existing mobile IPv6 protocol and related protocol standards, the paper introduce the basic components and the basic principles of mobile IPv6, AAA authentication ,the integration of AAA and mobile IPv6, as well as future trends of Mobile IPv6.2. Mobile IPv6 node tracking technology. In this paper, based on the research of the IPv6 protocol suite, we propose the MACA (MIPv6 address Auto-Configuration based on Authentication, MACA) method. It ensures that mobile users receive certification before they can obtain permission to access the network, which not only reduce the time-delay of switch, but also improve the network security. This paper also analyse two kinds of mobile IPv6 communication model, we study how to track mobile IPv6 node based on the two mobile IPv6 model, that is, how to obtain the address referred to the sequence what a mobile node uses in the process of moving .3. Mobile IPv6 node locating technology. This text has further analysis to the mobile node address information we have gotten, and then come to the network region which the mobile node in, at last further determine the geographical location of mobile nodes. In this text, we use the concept of space, and make a analysis of the relationship among the three major spaces, give the description of entities mapping technology among the three spaces, including the entity mapping within Internet space, the entity mapping between the Internet space and space of the territorial name, and the entity mapping between the space of geographical name and geospatial Physical space. Finally, this paper makes a summary, gives an outlook of the mobile IPv6 application in the next generation network and mobile communication, and brings forward the future direction of research.
