As the counterpart mechanism of the series, parallel mechanism has merits such as high mechanical stiffness, high precision and accumulation of position errors etc, and has become a hot research topic in domain of machinery. At present, parallel mechanism has found its wide and important applications in such areas as aviation, astronautics, and submarine engineering manufacturing computer aided medical equipment and mircoeletro-mechanical system (MEMS) etc.The parallel mechanism will be applied into the engraving area to fully exert its merits and extend its application area. This paper briefly describes the origins and development of engraving machine status, analysis of similar engraving machine at home and abroad special .Point to illustrate that the engraving machine, as well as the function and use of parallel mechanism used in engraving machine meaning. On this basis, the passage gives a detailed analysis of the engraving machine's overall layout and structure of programs.The configuration determines the kinematics characteristics of the mechanism, and it seams more important on the parallels. In this regard, it selected the configuration for the engraving machine according to its kinematics characteristics, and calculated the degree of freedom for the selected configuration to verify that it meets the requirements.The workspace is an important evaluation indicator of the property of the parallel machanism.Therefore; it designed the machine according to its workspace. Strictly speaking, it determined the important structural parameters through scale integrated, and then built the three-dimensional model for the engraving machine.To master the engraving machine kinematics and dynamics characteristics, so that the advantages of parallel institutions in the engraving machine to full play, the paper established a carving machine kinematics and dynamics model for the forward and inverse kinematics analysis, by Pro / E and ADAMS seamless connection, it established virtual prototype for the engraving machine, using the software ADAMS, it made the kinematics and dynamic simulation to get a more satisfactory result.For the purpose of the integrity of study, it built the finite element model for the machine in the software ANSYS, it made the static analysis for the machine model, got the deformation and stress distribution of the model under different poses, provided a theoretical basis for the next optimization for the structure.
