Piezoelectric materials, used in a wide range of applications of industrial, medicine and military, play an important role in the smart materials. Piezoelectric materials are simply used to design devices of converters of electric input to mechanical motion or vice versa due to the piezoelectric effect and inverse piezoelectric effect. It is possible to achieve and has been applied in practice that making devices of energy collecting for micro-power supply system using piezoelectric materials with the development of wireless electronics and MEMS technology.Piezoelectric materials are the key elements in piezoelectric energy conversion systems and also key factors in performance of energy harvesting systems. The parameters of piezoelectric boundary conditions, vibration mode, structure, dimensions, support mode, and other factors has a great effect on energy harvesting, which you need to optimize in order to the best power output. This paper selects the suitable structure to make piezoelectric-cantilever energy harvesting devices according to piezoelectric theory. This article explains the energy collecting principles of energy acquisition and a variety of principles and methods of piezoelectric parameter measurements, analyzes the kind of vibration mode, and tests the performance of piezoelectric-cantilever energy collector made of piezoelectric ceramic materials. Besides the nature of the piezoelectric materials, the parameters of the structure are important. The parameters are discussed in the structure of piezoelectric vibrators, connections of piezoelectric vibrators, electrode shapes of piezoelectric vibrators et al to optimize the energy harvester.
