Since embedded techniques develop at very fast speed, embedded computers have pervaded every aspect of people's lives. Some key applications require higher dependability which can not be provided by traditional computer systems. To meet these requirements, The Embedded Dependable Computer System is designed. The Embedded High Dependable Computer System is an embedded system of high safety & security, availability, reliability, maintainability and robustness.This paper aims at the design and implement of voting system of the Embedded Dependable Computer System by using of Nios II soft-core. After the analysis of the Embedded High Dependable Computer System's requirements, the architecture of Three Module Redundancy and One Hot Standby Module was presented as the core of system fault-tolerance mechanisms, Combined with the characteristics of embedded application environment. The Majority-Voting was selected as voting mechanism.The logical structure and the peripherals of the system were designed in the light of system's fault-tolerance mechanism. Many key technologies were studied and implemented, such as authentication, power management, main-board management, core-board hot swap, data self-destruction of main-board, and so on. Application of above key technologies has played an important role to ensure the high reliability of the system.The core modules of the main board were designed and implemented by using of Nios II soft-core processor, and then the tests to the embedded system were done. These core modules include the voting system, board management, I/O system and and so on. The voting processes were designed in detail; particularly the system reconfiguration and critical resources dynamic allocated which did after voting. To test the function of the system, the running tests were did to the total embedded system.
