With the rapid development of life science in the past 10 years, various related data has a explosive growth rate and a large number of bioinformatics databases and data analysis tools have appeared on the Internet. When biologists and bioinformaticians have data retrieval or analysis tasks, they usually need to combine multiple databases or data analysis tools, so how to integrate these bioinformatics databases and data analysis tools are a major challenge faced by the field of bioinformatics. As related technologies and standards of service-oriented architecture and service-oriented computing continue to mature, a large number of databases and data analysis tools used Web Services as their access interfaces, therefore developing the technology of bioinformatics Web Services composition can provide an effective method to address this challenge.This thesis focuses on related issues of bioinformatics Web Services composition. First of all, this thesis gives a review of related concepts of Web Services and Web Services composition. Secondly, this thesis applies traditional case based reasoning technology to the field of Web Services composition and proposed a services composition framework based on case based reasoning called CBR4WSCF, and it elaborate all solutions of related issues and sub-modules of the framework involved in it, including service case representation, service case indexing, service case retrieval, service case reuse & adaptation and service case composition. At last, this thesis applies CBR4WSCF which is independent of the specific areas to the field of bioinformatics and proposes a method that converts existing bioinformatics Web Services without semantic information to bioinformatics Web Services with semantic information using the development of bioinformatics ontologie, and the thesis analyzes the performance of CBR4WSCF and its all sub-modules by the results of simulation experiments.The framework CBR4WSCF this thesis proposed can effectively integrate bioinformatics database and data analysis tools to help biologists and bioinformaticians implement large-scale complex data retrieval and analysis tasks and mine knowledge form massive data.
