Enterprise informatization can perfectly integrate the enterprise's information resources. So it could promote the level of modernization management, and strengthen the control and optimization in the whole processes of corporation production and operation management. Furthermore, it would improve efficiency and scientificalness of management and decision, then enhance the enterprise's competitiveness.The subject of this paper is to develop a real-time management information system of natural gas power generation project for Banshan power plant, which is to complete the hierarchical and integrated management information system of power plant based on DCS-SIS-MIS. The paper Firstly studies the methods of natural gas measurement, and the computation module of practical natural gas measurement and also the related theories. It also discusses the popular flow measurements for natural gas, such as standard volume flow measurement, quality flow measurement, energy flow measurement. With researching the swing door trending compression algorithm, it emphatically analyzes the distinguishing features of the original production data and makes out the mathematical modeling. Then it builds the calculation model of data processing for natural gas flow calculating and quality analyzing, which is vital to our project. To making an analysis and design about the real-time management information system of natural gas is also the important job to our study. Involving studying of some related technologies, the paper analyzes the functions and performances about the system. Then it put forward an entire design proposal, as well as the detail design of each module. According the concept of informatization and in-depth requirement analysis, it give a description of the implementation procedure about the real-time management information system, including ASP.net programming, windows service development, PI database access, AJAX technology application and realization of data processing which are essentials about the system implementation.The paper achieves the design and development of the real-time management information system of natural gas by theories study, mathematical modeling and system design. And it improves the informatization level of natural gas power generation project for the power plant.
