Wireless sensor network is a synthetic intelligent information system which includes information collection, information transmission and information processing.It has wild application prospect and it is a hot field. Time synchronization is a fundamental component of wireless sensor networks and it is important for other applications and services. However, the complexity, energy cost and size conflicts between traditional algorithm such as NTP and GPS prohibit their use in WSN.This introduce many new challenges ,so developing time synchronization methods suitable for wireless sensor networks have attracted wide attention.This article bases on the study of time synchronization algorithm for wireless sensor network. By analyzing several typical time synchronization protocols,we find these protocols can satisfy most needs in single-hop network.But they cause too much overhead in multi-hops network for constructing topological structure and the network's expansibility is not good,so is the robustness.So we proposed a new algorithm:the optimized flooding time synchronization protocol,it bases on the studying of the flooding time synchronization protocol.In this protocol,we mainly two aspects:â'ˆBy analyzing the time synchronization packets in flooding process, we introduce a multi-point relay set.It greatly reduces the number of flooding nodes, eliminating a large number of redundant data packets.â'‰We found that there are a lot of duplicate packets in time synchronization phase and the routing phase,so we combine the two phases to further reduce the amount of packets to send.Finally, we confirmed that the algorithm can effectively reduce the number of flooding nodes and the time synchronization packets through a simulation.And when we do many time synchronization cycles, the performance of this algorithm is better.In the last of the article,we make a summary.
