With the rapid development of modern information technology, the performance of electric power communication system has improved continuously. But at the same time it becomes more complex. The increasing of the network business and the variety of equipments make the training of the network maintenance man more difficult, and failures can not be resolved in time怂In order to improve the operation and maintenance levels of electric power communication network and equipments, we need a virtual net which is fully consistent with actual SDH network as the basis of communication network operation and R & D. The simulation platform of electric power communication system has emerged at home and abroad recently. Some SDH systems simulations are based on rule base.But the compatibility of these systems isn't very good, and the rule base contents a wide variety. So it is difficult to update. There is a certain gap between the real systems. SDH system simulation platform will carry out the underlying transport mechanism about SDH effectively by simulating SDH equipment prototype, and then reproduce the process of data transmission and the production of a network failure.This dissertation presents the concept of SDH system simulation: from prototype and the appearance of equipment to simulate SDH equipment, and then we get the actual device by linking prototype and its appearance through the prototype system. The SDH system generated by that method is not only real, but also has a good reusability. This dissertation focuses on SDH prototype simulation, and we show the transmission principles of the SDH system through the implementation of the logical components of prototype system. At last taking the TTF (transport terminal function) function module of SDH prototype as an example, we will describe frame structure of the SDH prototype system in detail, as well as the ideas of the logic components simulation.
