In the past several years, certificateless public key cryptography (CL-PKC) has emerged as an active area of cryptologic research that gave birth to new algorithms, protocols, and primitives. CL-PKC is a variant of identity based public key cryptography that eliminates public key certificates and dose not suffer from the key escrow problem, which is inherent in identity based public key cryptography. In the dissertation, we first present a certificateless signature scheme which revising the private and public generation algorithms of Barreto et al.'s efficient ID-based signature. The scheme is provably secure in the random oracle model, and is an efficient scheme, only needs one pairing operation.Another scheme we present is a certificateless signature scheme without random oracles. The strict proof of the proposed scheme is provided in the standard model. The security of the new scheme is based on the NGBDH assumption and many-DH assumption. Finally, we present a certificateless ring signcryption scheme and formally prove the security of the proposed scheme, indistinguishable under chosen ciphertext attack (IND-CLRSC-CCA2) and existentially unforgeable under chosen message and identity attack (EUF-CLRSC-CMA) in the random oracle model.
