Blood pressure, body temperature, ECG and other physiological parameters are important features of human life. To monitoring these parameters can help people to master their own physical condition. Most of the existing health monitor has no video intercom functions. Many of them can only monitor a single or two parameters also, they are not intelligent enough. All these problems sometimes cause problems with the intercourse between the doctors and the patients, and make it difficult to monitor several parameters together, to deliver and manage the physiologic data. To resolve these problems, the author designed family medical intelligent terminal system based on IP network. The system integrates HD video intercom, general physiological parameters detection and storage capabilities. Family medical intelligent terminal system can realize video intercom functionality, multiple physiological parameter monitoring. When the system is online through the IP network the patients can contact the hospital care center through the video intercom. When offline it is a multi-functional family health monitor.After a lot of research on blood pressure, body temperature, ECG and respiration, pulse blood oxygen and other measurement methods and principles of the relevant medical information and clinical requirements, we could measure blood pressure using arm-attached electronic measurements, measure body temperature with thermistor, measure ECG and respiration by five dynamic leads, measure pulse blood oxygen by nipping the fingers. The paper combines various measurement methods for physiological parameters, uses VC++ as a development environment, and select multi-parameter 6N12 module as a collection of existing hardware. Family medical intelligent terminal system uses a modular design of host computer, that is, serial communication modules, data display, data storage and video intercom modules. Serial communications module used serial agreement based on RS232 to complete the work of data transfer between PC machine and 6N12 module. Data display module will display the data and waveforms from the serial communications module on PC machine. The data management module uses Access as system database, it connect the VC++ development tools and database through ADO, and then records users'information and physiological data. Visual on told module works through the IP network.After a series of trials and errors, the author is succeed in completing the work of physiological data collection, transmission, display, and storage through the intelligence Terminal system for home medical use. The system's main features indicated in the trials are:physiological information gathering fast, data storing conveniently, HD video intercom, operating with no difficulty and humanized care interface and data management interfaces. System is designed in modular mode with clear structure, which makes expansion easily in future. The research content and relevant outcomes have practical value for community and family medical intelligence Terminal system.
