Abstract/Summary:
This paper proposes a 3D measurement system based on fringe projection and active triangulation to measure the 3-D data of wood. On the base of these above, we reconstruct the 3D digital outline of wood. A kind of wood profile measurement system is designed, and its principle, hardware and software systems design process have been elaborated.The main work is as follows:(1) The paper summarizes the classify of optical non-contact 3D measurements and comments on all kinds of methods, then outlines research hotspots and difficulties. The measurement principle of grating projection method and the recent developments are introduced in detail.(2) Using CCD camera and LCD projector established hardware structure of measurement system, and developed a software system by Visual Basic.(3) Demarcate the testing system, get the system parameter and relation between the coordinate on image and real height of the wood surface in lab environment.(4) The deformed grating pattern is input into a computer by CCD camera and processed by a series of image processing procedure, and then is analyzed to obtain the 3D coordination of the superficial of the measured wood. Finally, we realize line reconstruction.The experimental results show that the real shape of wood can be got accurately and be used to reconstruct the 3D digital outline of wood.
