Design And Implementation Of DTV Authorization Router

Digital TV is the driving force behind the television development and the direction of the television structural changes, which is comprehensively recognized by the TV operators at all levels. At present, the number of the digital TV operation platform has reached 227. The core of digital TV platform are conditional access system (CAS) and subscriber manage system (SMS), through which we can take precise authorization control and authorization management to subscribers, and realize the paid services of digital TV business. Because there're tens of different CAS and SMS providers in China and abroad, the CAS and SMS of the same operator could be provided by different companies, the technology strengths are uneven, and the interface specifications are various, the accuracy of authorized data can not be effectively ensured, which have cause the disputes between operators and subscribers about fees, the questions among partners when they share the money, and the development of Chinese digital TV industry has seriously affected.Therefore, the author creatively put forward the concept of digital TV authorization router, has developed the unified protocol between the SMS and the router and designed the digital TV authorization router. This router works between the CAS and SMS, through which the router receives and analyzes the authorization commands of SMS by a unified protocol, and routes according to the target of the commands to the particular CAS, and then the authorization or anti-authorization control command will be executed and regulated authorization records be generated.The paper firstly introduces the technology background of the digital TV-authorization router, discusses the related dynamic domestic and foreign technology, analyzes the current problems in the DTV engineering practice and comes to conclusion that the design and implementation of the digital TV-authorization router is necessary. Second, it analyzes the concept of the digital TV authorization router, defines the requirements of the system and the develop target of the project. The following is the system design, including the development of the unified protocol, the architecture of the system design, process design and so on.The implementation part of the router, briefly introduces the software development environment and tools, mainly describes the implementation of TCP server framework module, command parsing & execution module, unified protocol interface, CAS agents interface etc. to achieve the core functionality of the router.Finally, the paper summarizes the benefits of the router deployment, the author's work in the period of writing paper and the router improvement recommendations.
