| The rapid development of communication technology, not only changes the aspects of social life, but also creates new industrial opportunities for interoperability and integration. The Mobile TV based on digital broadcast and mobile converged network is the development trend of the current wireless multimedia services. The integration of digital broadcasting and the mobile communication, which has an outstanding support of interactive services caused by the combination of advantages from the two kinds of networks, has been recognized.Funded by the EC project MING-T, based on typical digital broadcast networks such as DVB-H/DTMB and mobile communication networks, this thesis carried out research, design and implementation of the converged network Mobile TV service platform and a rule-based personalized service.First, as the traditional Mobile TV service platform has not optimized the structure for converged networks, this thesis proposed an improved business platform architecture, designed and implemented the server and the client terminal to make full use of the converged network features. On the server side, the main work is the design and implement of the ESG(Electronic Service Guide) server and the interactive server, while on the terminal side, the major work is the graphical user interface, the parsing of ESG, and the play of audio and video programs.Secondly, the feasibility of this service platform needed to be verified by the operation and experiment. Therefore, based on the DVB-H and DTMB digital broadcast networks and mobile communication networks, this thesis design four typical service scenarios:the video play, multi-standard handover, interactive services, and reliable transmission function, to verify and analyze the basic characteristics of the converged network, and formed a demonstration function.Finally, as for the personalized service needs, this thesis proposed a rule-based method to provide personalized service over the digital broadcast and mobile converged networks. This method collected the personalized information and configuration information on the terminal, generated service rule file, and then the server generated a unique filter file of the TV programs for users by parsing the service rules and the ESG. In the end, the terminal extracted the personalized programs list through the ESG to meet the needs of individual users.The study, design and implementation of this thesis are based on the application level, not limited to the underlying network standard. Therefore, it has a broader applicability. |
