China Unicom Maanshan Branch Mobile Network Engineering Planning And Optimization Design

With the construction process of GSM network, telecommunications operators not only realize the network signals complete coverage, but pay more attention to the quality of the signals and the user's feelings. For reforming the performance of the network, they increase the operation of the network optimization technique, by use of analyzing the scientific data acquired.Network optimization is a process of data acquisition, data analysis, optimization scheme formulating, network adjustment and result validation. Then they can increase the network accessing ability and improve network quality to provide high-quality mobile network for users. The branch Maanshan of China Unicom is now concerning about the network operation situation, service quality, network structure and configuration rationality; Considering how to develop the network in relational scientific way for sustainable development of network business and expanding new business style and powerful market competitiveness. To realize the target, Maanshan has made the entire network equipments replacement. It brought in new domestic equipments to increase the investment and improved its service to a high level.At the same time, the Branch Maanshan had planned network optimization From July to August in 2009. It made the effective way of network equipments replacement in basement of analyzing and estimating the original network. It had carried out the network equipments replacement successfully and stabilized network smoothly in equipments replacement. After equipments replacement Maanshan optimized the network centrally in September 2009.In this paper, Chapter 1 summarizes all the paper. Chapter 2 tells the theory of the GSM system, development of the network, basic characteristic and structure and function of the system, and related technique. In order to scientific guide, Chapter 3 basically introduces the significance and concrete content and relative procedure of network optimization. Chapter 4 introduces the network structure of Maanshan in chart. chapter 5 expounds network optimization plan to optimize and adjust, especially on aspects of coverage, interference, drop probability, successful switching rate and congestion. In the base of Chapter 5, Chapter 6 refined specific KPI index to analyze and adjust. Chapter 7 verifies the network by using data and chart acquired in actual program. Chapter 8 further gives suggestion in later program, and combining with WCDMA network program, discusses the construction and coexistence and influence of the two networks, GSM and WCDMA. It gives the guidance for later network construction and dilatation.
