Brazil Telecommunication Operator Telesp NGN Network Solution Design

Nowadays, the telecommunication technologies have been developed with a very high speed. The traditional PSTN equipments are very old and they cannot be satisfied with the requirements of higher bandwidth, convergent and intelligence network and services. To make the network migration with IP based network is the unified idea for the whole Telecommunication industry.As we all know, there are several ways to finish the network migration for All IP solution. But only the solution with clear direction, helpful for network pain point, lower cost and higher efficiency can be accepted by the telecommunication operators. In the oversea market, the big actions of network migration are very hard to be decided by the fixed operators because of private capital and weak forecast for the fixed voice business. Most of the operators think that the network migration cannot bring enough payback. So, the network migration must have something to attract the investment, otherwise there will be always no enough power to drive the network migration. Then, the right way to diver the network migration is to research the network pain point deeply, find the root case and provide the solution accordingly.The author has been working in Brazil for more than two years. I got to know Telesp difficulty and their expectation through deeply network investigation and frequency close communication. Based on the root cases of Telesp two times STP accidents, the C4 network migration solution based on NGN and NGIN is suggested to Telesp and be accepted by Telesp. This solution help Telesp solved the problems of services query and network reliability. After almost one and half years hard work, the solution works for Telesp business network now.The dissertation is the summary of the author's knowledge and experiences for NGN network. Hope it can be helpful for the IP based network migration globally.
