With the constant expansion of the urban area, the resident population continues to increase and the population of dweller grows fast. At present, the bus system overloads and the balance between urban road traffic supply and demand balance is broken, congestion is increasingly serious. As a kind of volume in urban rail transit system, Light rail can solve the problem of urban traffic congestion and dweller's difficult travel in a certain extent. And light rail transit has the following characteristics:low cost, system configuration flexible, fast speed, large volume, low noise, small pollution, and short construction period, combined with the urban railway, light rail can optimize the allocation of resources and promote the sustainable development of the urban rail traffic in a certain extent.In order to achieve more security service and provide more convenient experience for passengers, light rail transit operation auxiliary system based on light rail locomotives itself electronic circuits is expanded. Through investigations we found that there are similar products at home and abroad, but due to low demand, relatively high prices and not having uniform standard, it results in the problem that the system is hard to upgrade and maintain when it doesn't work.This thesis discusses system from the following sections:CAN communications bus parts, Ethernet communication part, fire detection part, video monitoring part, audio and video intercom part, temperature and humidity acquisition part, information release parts. Video and audio signal base on network transmission, other control signal and data signals transmitted by a CAN bus. This system implements the functions like the video monitoring, intercom, GPS navigation, stops and abnormal situation alarm.In this thesis, we introduce the design of the embedded processors hardware system which is based on LPC2378, S3C2410, MSP430 and so on. Then we present the knowledge of FPGA, the signal acquisition, the signal transmission, and the basic design knowledge of the signal processing circuit. This paper presents a successful design of CAN communications nodes based on MSP430. Then we introduce a method of improving the system stability in industrial environment. The video and voice calls functions are designed based on Ethernet. This system implements the function of fire warning and detection systems based on the industry CAN bus. Also we put forward some proposals and measures in the structure, principle and the setting principle of the light rail automatic fire alarm system. At last, we put forward some advices to the development of light rail system and some improving methods.
