With the development of the Internet and network technology have also been a revolution, bringing new technical highlights include:Peer networks, Distributed systems, Grid, High-Density Storage and so on. The new technology has changed our traditional means of access provided by the application; Including VOD can bring the visual real-time, interactive web experience, so more and more loved by everyone. However, due to network bandwidth bottlenecks and related technologies, there are some drawbacks, resulting in video-related issues existed. In order to improve the quality of video on demand network, we should deeply research the existing theoretical knowledge and slove the existing technical problems.For video-on-demand process and the existence of on-demand picture effect of delay-related problems.In this thesis, the original theory on the basis of learning, including streaming media technology, P2P model, VOD system architecture, etc. and put forward their own suggestions for improvement.The leading research and innovation of this thesis are as follow:1) Analysis of the traditional P2P VOD system model in order to construct for a more convenient and flexible multi-level structure. Node in the hierarchy is similar to zoning by function blocks; the actual structural model results also validate the demand for the latest network needs, with flexible scalability.Change the traditional way about the UDP tunneled message mechanism, the TCP message with a more stable mechanism to achieve information transmission, increasing the stability of the message transfer process.2) Depending on the client memory cache and disk cache feature, the memory cache has fast response speed and hard disk cache has large capacity.This paper presents a multiple caching mechanism with the characteristics of predicting, to balance the system's message buffer and make full use of the client cache.3) Demand for different behavior of users to achieve the optimization of server processing program schedule, show the popularity of the different phase differences, and adopt the method of dynamic update cache node, the server based on the popularity of the program, the corresponding control in real time, Demand for fast processing user requests.4) The structure of the system model, software process design and functional role. VOD system as a whole to achieve the division of function modules, analysis function of each module to achieve the coupling between modules, coordination between the workflow.
