Car roller bench is a kind of interior inspection equipment, which is used to test performance of car. Within testing procedures, car needn't be disassembled. Car roller bench uses the surface of roller to substituted road, and uses power loading device to provide resistance to roller in order to simulate driving resistance. Car roller bench can test power of chassis, accelerating performance, gliding performance, top speed, hill climbing performance, multi-operating mode contaminant letting out, fuel economy, and checkout speedometer drive gear, malfunction diagnosis and so on.This thesis research about simulation of driving resistance on car roller bench. Analyze the current level of car roller bench research at home and abroad, then put forward the research objective. This car roller beach adopts single roller structure, whose diameter is greater and surface is near to road. The power loading device uses A-C power dynamometer, which can provide resistance to roller on both sides, and feedback the power which is produced in testing to power system., at the same time can conversely drag the testing car. This car roller bench discards the conventional inertial flywheels structure, and uses electrical inertial simulation, in order to reduce the mechanical structure and boost the simulation precision, convenience operate.Design the mechanical structure of car roller bench. Analyze the operational principle of car roller bench in detail, include dynamics of car on road and on car roller bench, then get the resistance equation of A-C power dynamometer on different work condition, at the same time put forward theory method and experiment method to get the parameter of resistance equation. Introduce the operational principle and control method of A-C power dynamometer, and analyze direct torque control method in detail, then introduce a king of variable-frequency Drive——ABB ACS800, which is based on direct torque control method. Design the hardware circuit and software system of control system. Software provide interface to user, and user can choose testing function and modify parameter. The control system of A-C power dynamometer use open loop system, in which send torque control signal to ACS800 to control A-C power dynamometer.Car roller bench is a kind of multifunctional flexible equipment. It can simulate practical road condition and do some detection and test, provide testing condition and technology foundation of control system for wheel hub driving car. This research satisfy requirement of enterprise actual production and test, and establish foundation for subsequent research of car roller bench.
