With the development of computer technology, the steps of combining of industry and information are faster than ever before. Industrial control system has been developed to a configurable, general and network stage. However, most of us, China, are still in manual control stages, and cannot meet the requirement of modern mass production. It is application program being not open, software being independent, system being complex and high cost of existed commercial software that have harmful hampered the development of control system. The software crisis and industry crisis are at risk.For the purpose of improving the overall level of industry and changing the existed backward control situation, the OPCDA server and client programs are designed in this paper. The OPC technology lets the control systems free form complicated design of hardware drivers. And developers focus on application programs developing, rather than difference equipment. At the same time, it parts the system software and enterprise system, and reduces the costs, bringing commercial and social value.In order to illustrate how to use the OPCDA rules, this paper has designed the boiler control system based on OPCDA. The information from boiler spot is sent to CAN bus, passing through the CANET module, and is accepted by the OPCDA server. Then the OPCDA client, other HIM and SCADA system can accept the data from OPCDA server. And the data can be sent from OPCDA client via OPCDA server, CANET module to CAN-bus, operating the related terminal. This paper involved follows:the foundation of OPC, analysis and scheme of designing the whole system, design of OPCDA server, design of OPCDA client, boiler control system totally design and apply, and so on. Finally, the system is tested and the result makes people satisfied and the modules accord with the international standard.
