Development And Designing Of MIS Of Production, Purchase And Sales Based On Client/Server Mode

The MIS (management information system) of production, purchase and sales based on Client/Server mode, that is suitable for medium and small enterprises, is developed and designed in this article. Based on analysis of the system functional requirements, the functional model designing, topological structure designing, selection of calculation mode, and technology of database are expounded in detail, especially for program technology, application of bar code, keeping track of batch, AutoCAD drawings information management, remote access, integration of different data sources, system optimum technology and security control of network in this paper.The management information system strictly follows the design principle of security, economy, efficiency reliability, and easy operating, maintaining and expanding, and adopts a combining topological structure and Client/Server mode, using Windows NT 4.0 as the operation platform, MS SQL 7.0 as the DBMS, and Power Builder 8.0 as the developing tool of its application programs. The basic managements, such as plan and adjustment of production, production process, purchase and sales, raw material and products quality, remote access, data and files are automatically realized by the system. The enterprise's market men can seek the information outside the workshops, and the director anywhere can supervise the whole production and management processes of enterprise, using a pocket computer. After installing the common software, such as administration, finance, measurement, and equipment management software, the whole management of an enterprise forms a complete and inner system, and could be automatically realized easily by the MIS.The MIS that is suitable for medium and small enterprises is well received by the customer, and is economy, efficiency reliability and easy operating.
