The sensor node limited by its size and processing power, so energy-saving is a key technology in the wireless sensor network. According to the investigatory, it is that the process of data transmission consume the most energy of the nodes. In order to saving the energy of the network, we can cut back the size of the data and reduced the distance of transmission. How to design efficient routing algorithm and transmission algorithm is the key technology points of wireless sensor networks. In the paper we introduced the current routing algorithms and the transfer algorithms in the wireless sensor networks. We found that the current methods just consider the network layer or transport layer in the energy-saving technology. In fact, the way which combined the transport layer technology with the routing layer technology can balance the network energy consumption more effectively. In order to make up the lack of existing algorithms, the paper present the LEACH-D algorithm and the RTBC algorithm.LEACH-D combines the ideas of adjusting the threshold function about the nodes, a fixed radius of the clustering and a multi-hop communication mechanism among the cluster heads. In the simulation, we compare the results of LEACH algorithm and LEACH-D algorithm from comparison of network lifetime in the view of FND, HNA and LND, the total energy consumption in one round in the same amount of information and the number of alive nodes and the rounds of survival network. Simulation results show that the LEACH-D protocol can effective extend the network lifetime much more than LEACH protocol, and improve the networks lifetime effectively.RTBC combined the transport layer technology with the routing layer technology to achieve real-time transmission of data. First, we use DIJKSTRA algorithm to identify more than one optimal paths for each cluster head to the base station. Then selected a optimal path from the paths with congestion control method. Finally, the data will send data to the sink along this path. In the simulation, we compare the results from the network delay, date transmission rate and energy consumption of the same amount of data.Simulation analysis shows that the algorithm provides real-time transmission and guarantees reliability.
