With the continuous development of Internet technology, learning resources on the network become more and more rich, and the network has become one of the main way that people learn. The appearance of E-Learning make education mode a major change. it provides students with rich educational resources, it break the traditional classroom time and space's constraints and make it possible to learn anytime, anywhere. As the above advantages, E-learning are more and more widely used. However, in the current E-Learning system there are still many problems, such as it can't provide sharing and reuse of resources, poor search results, retrieve is not based on students'interests and knowledge level, and can not provide personalized services. For these problems, in the E-Learning, do some reasearch to realize the reuse of resources and personalized service to address the deficiencies of traditional E-Learning.The main specific tasks are as follows:1) Firstly theory of ontology and the Semantic Web technologies were discussed in the Paper, analyzed the feasibility of personalized E-Learning through use of the ontology.2) Description the status of the development of learning resources, knowledge metadata, the realization of personalized service and other related knowledge.3) Construction of the "C++Programming" course ontology repository, including the domain knowledge ontology, resource structure and teaching strategies ontology and some simple example.4) Proposed of a domain ontology-based framework for E-learning, and analyzes the functions of the system, including semantic retrieval and just in time information retrieval(JITIR) are also introduced in detail. By effective integration of ontology technology and E-Learning, to improve learning performance of E-Learning, so as to provide students with more accurate and personalized search service.
