| Different as interpersonal communication, organizational and group communication, "personal communication" is not one of the basic concepts from the beginning of communication. However, the advent of the Internet combined with the rapid development of communication technology witnesses the era of personal communication.Transforms of the communication mode have brought revolution in the field, the rapid development of personal communication models are changing the status of communication as well. Simple web pages, from the very beginning, to the chat rooms and e-mail, then to BBS, blog and podcast, until nowadays microblog, network technology has finally pushed the individuals who are the terminal of communication into the central of arena.This thesis started from the personal communication theory, described the development of personal media agent to personal media, therefore, to the true sense of the personal communication process occurs, in order to have a clear understanding of the process from the development of personal communication. Hence the author made a detailed description of the Internet Age from web1.0 to web2.0. At the same time he selected the latest and most influential mode of communication---- microblog, was conducted a focused research and user analysis.Microblog, being a rising and mainstream model of personal communication in the internet era, contains various issues which worth an in-depth study. This thesis studied major aspects about microblog, including the reason and power of its appear and development, the propagation characteristics, the different characteristics reflected when different audience groups are using micro-blog, the social value and finally the difficulties and constrains that may exist in micro blogging. Only to realize the two sides of microblog deeply, can we form a clear impression and understanding of the current situation of the phenomenon of the Internet personal communication. |
