Wireless sensor networks is a kind of self-organizing multi-hop network system. The sensor nodes collaborate with each other to perceive, collect and process the information of the perception object in the network, and send the information to the observer through the wireless sensor network. Self-positioning of sensor nodes has always been a hot spot in military field, target tracking, environmental monitoring, medical care, intelligent electricity fields and so on.The process of localization is to obtain the positon information of node by using information of some already known nodes and some special mechanisms. Only when we know the correct self-localization of sensor nodes, the position of the monitor events can be confirmed. There are still lots of shortcomings in this localization technology such as great impacted by circumstances, high algorithm complexity and huge energy-cost, unsuitable for mobile sensor networks. With the development of the wireless sensor networks, the localization algorithm with low complexity and little impacted by circumstances has important theoretical significance and application value.This paper is for the purpose of making some related discussions and researches of localization algorithm based on wireless sensor networks, it embarks from the introduction of latent application of localization technology, some key localization technology in wireless sensor networks is studied too, and it also analyses the results of simulation of triangle and centroid location algorithm and trilateration algorithm based on RSSI. Simulation experiments prove that triangle and centroid location algorithm can obviously improve the location accuracy compared with trilateration algorithm. For the practical use condition, and in order to lessen the distance measurement error of RSSI and improve the location accuracy, some improvement of trilateration algorithm appeal in this paper, simulation results prove that the improvement of trilateration algorithm can also obviously improve the location accuracy.
