Node localization technology is one of the important supporting technologies in wireless sensor networks technology. It is obviously that the technology of wireless sensor networks will go-ahead very quickly and its applications will be wider and wider in the coming future, and sensor node localization technology has improved the wireless networks technology in theoretical significance and application value. RSSI means Received Signal Strength Indication, and it is a optional part on wireless transmit layer. We can get a range estimation through the strength of signal and the use the data to finish localization. RSSI based range measurement technology is a meaningful implementation scheme.The dissertation focuses on the discussion of the localization technologies of professional applications based on wireless sensor networks.The major analyses and findings are as follows:Firstly, this paper summarized the wireless sensor networks technology research status and analyzed the key technology and applications of wireless sensor networks, emphasized on the sensor node localization technology and the positioning algorithm in wireless sensor networks,and proposed the positioning problems to be solved in localization technology.Secondly, this paper analyzed all kinds of localization algorithm, including locating method based on the distance:centroid localization algorithm and the orientation of DV-HOP algorithm and convex programming algorithm; The localization algorithm based on distance measurement technology:based on RSSI positioning, positioning based on TOA and AOA. In principle of the wireless sensor network localization algorithm is analyzed.Finally, studied the centroid algorithm, this paper puts forward two improved centroid algorithm. And we build up a simulation environment to the RSSI based WSN system by matlab to serves as a common platform for different algorithms. The simulation shows that compared with the original centroid algorithm, the proposed two kinds of improved centroid algorithm have further improve the positioning precision.
