In recent years, with the development of network technology and multimedia technology, there are more and more multimedia applications on the internet, such as the video and audio chat functions provided by many kinds of IM software and the online video on demand functions offered by many popular sites. These applications have gradually become an indispensable part of people's life. With the diversity and generalization of the multimedia applications on the internet, it is very important to our network security to implement an internet video and audio data rebuilding system. In this paper, it firstly introduced and analyzed the related standards for multimedia communications network from the perspective of protocol analysis, and introduced and studied the related protocol standards for video communications of Microsoft's MSN client software in particular. Combining with the relevant standard, it analyzed the actual MSN traffic data, and it also discussed the current development trend of multimedia communication. Then, it designed and implemented an internet audio visual data reconstruction system which works in the Windows Server 2003 operating system environment, combining with the analysis results of communication protocol standards. The overall structure of the system and the functions and processes of every module in the system were described here. In every module of the system, it discussed the processing method of MSN video communications data. Here, it also described the related open source projects and standards, such as the WinPcap, FFmpeg and SMIL.Finally, in order to improve the system performance, it did some local optimization on some parts of the system, and the results of comparison test were given.
