Design And Implementation Of Functional Entity Test Framework In Distributed Service Network

Telecommunication network is developing very fast during recent years. Network users'quantity is larger than ever, network service flow rises rapidly. Facing up to growing requirements of the new users, traditional telecommunication network has to take over new challenges. It is really expensive to add servers to backup and ganrantee realability. Resources can't be fully used in tradition static network archetecture. To solve these problems, a low-cost and high-realability core network which can be controled and extended shows up. New core network can fit dynamic changes of requirements. DSN is such a core network using P2P network technologies and SIP protocol. DSN has high realability, high availability and high scalability.DSN is a new kind of core network which has several layers. DSN provides basic functions by functional entity communications. To grab functional characters and performance of DSN, several tests should be held. In tradition software test, developers have to make every test object have their own test stub. When it comes to DSN, this method can be low efficiency and hard to reuse. So DSN need a new distributed, automatic, customizable test framework. At first, DSN concepts and concepts in functional entity test is introduced in the paper. Based on analysis, a new functional entity test framework is introduced. Functional entity framework is a distributed, automatic, customaziable, reusable framework. It can execute parallel tests in many test stubs. Test framework will automaticly finish test procedures and generate test reports by using scripts. Test framework use POC method to support multiple test case implementations including TTCN-3. Framework has layer archetecture which is loosely coupled designed. Using functional entity framework, VoIP and SMS tests are executed on DSN functional entity.
