Cooperative communication technologies in the wireless heterogeneous networks which are very efficient to reduce the energy consumption and improve the reliability of the system are generally considered as the key technologies in future wireless communication. This paper is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and other topics, has important theoretical and practical significance.Based on the principles and functions of cooperative communication technologies, this paper is mainly about the cooperative power saving strategy in DVB-H network. DVB-H network is introduced and the necessity of power saving in DVB-H network is analyzed. An energy saving strategy of cooperative data reception in cellular link and the cooperative transmitting between mobile terminals over multi-hop short range link is introduced to achieve energy saving in DVB-H network. The performance of energy saving is significantly improved while the node will cooperate with more nodes in the piconet. Up to 54% power saving can be achieved in a three node piconet according to the simulation. Up to 7.6% more gains for the whole cooperation piconet compared with the previous cooperative strategy under the same scenario. At last, the cooperative power saving strategy proposed in this paper is brought into the military distance education system, the relationship between the number of cooperation nodes and the power saving gain can be achieved is analyzed. The application of this system in military distance education and electronic assisted training is discussed.
