Research And Implementation On The Architecture Of Distributed Database System Based On WCF

The modern software systems are dependent on the database inseparably. With the rapid expansion of information and the rapid development of computer networks, the way that accessing single database has no longer satisfied the needs of users. The development of distribute technology is making the rapid development of distribute database. The performance of distribute database is superior to the traditional single database, and the distribute database can be all over the network to support user's requirement on sharing data, and it is transparent completely for users to access the data.In recent years, the service oriented architecture (SOA) obtained highly valued and appreciated and becomes the future trend. Using SOA to construct distributed database system, each database node joins in the entire distributed system as a service node. And Microsoft's WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) is a communication framework, which reflects the SOA thought and integrates numerous of distributed technologies and supports multi-protocols. In this paper, a distributed database services system based on WCF is studied.At first, the WCF technology, SOA architecture, and distribute database theory and some database access technologies are introduced. Then the WCF's advantages and disadvantages are analyzed based on comparing with other distributed technologies. Then, the distribute data service model based on WCF and how to build service node of each module is elaborated. Finally, how to design and implement each module is specified, including endpoint configuration and binding information, the release of the endpoint and service consumption etc.
