Mobile internet technology and applications have become a very important research field with the rapid development of the smart mobile terminal platform and the wide spread of the 3rd-generation techology. Due to the speciality of the mobile terminal platform, design principles and development techologies are different with the tradional software design. With such features as asynchronous, multi-point communication, good cross-platform, and loosely coupled, using Publish/Subscribe Middleware Message systems have a lot of advantages over the traditional system.This paper is maily on the research of several middleware platforms supporting Publish/Subscribe systems. We implement application models and do relative performance tests of the middleware platform on different operating systems. The detailed works are as following:Firstly two types of major message oriented middleware Publish/Subscribe modes are studied in this paper, including the data distribution service (DDS) standards and the SUN's Java message service (JMS) standards, and we anlyze on the message oriented middleware's framework and programming Interface specification. Secondly, DDS standards based Publish/Subscribe system model applicable to mobile terminal platform is designed. This system model handles the problems of DDS unsupporting distributed Publish/Subscribe, and it is realized on Windows Mobile system. Finally, we design another Android operating system based Publish/Subscribe system which meets JMS standards. This system supports varies wireless acessing modes and it has good Heterogeneous network compatibility. This paper develops an application software on the scenario that messages are pulled and pushed asynchronously, and realizes the Application Model on terminal platform. All the works provide a newly technical proposal for message system development on Android operating system.
