A Study On Vertical Search For Medical Education Videos

With the development of the medical education information, the number of videos is increasing. It is one of hot issues that how reasonably and effectively organize and retrieval medical education videos. According to the characteristics of medical education videos ,the privacy of the patients and the reasons of the army medical academy, therefore, we design a medical education video vertical search platform architecture.We draw the rearch idea of the subject: Firstly, the subject reaches the research objective that we establish a vertical search for medical education videos by the comparasion of the medical education video websites and current retrieval technology literature at home and abroad. Based on the construction learning theory, social media theory, cooperative learing theory and using ASP.NET3.5 AJAX, Lucene.net, the study designs the medical education videos retrieval which reflects the characteristics of medical education and user's interaction and feedback. Finally, we evaluate the system with the related evaluation index system and draw a conclusion.The project's main work includes: according to the characteristics of medical education videos, video's metadata discriptions and so on, the subject describes the medical education video as a triple structure (generation description, education description and content description). Based on the description of the videos, we bring about the uploading function with WCF Architecture. Considering the characteristics of medical education videos and current exsisting retrieval algorithm, we design two-layer sorting algorithm. Thereby, the high quality videos display in the font of the sorting results. Retrieved results are firstly filtered by Lucene.net and then sorted by the comprehensive index. The comprehensive index refers to score of the user, score of user's experience, user's recommend score and timeline. Based on social media theory, collaboration theory and so on, we realize the construction about the description of videos to promote the understanding and mixing of the knowledge. On the retrieval performance, we use the thesaurus extention of the term th improve the recall ration.This topic implements the medical education video uploading, searching, browsing, building and downloading. In terms of video downloading, we use Microsoft's WCF schema which implements uploading solution based on service schema. User's experience mainly implements based on AJAX technology for ASP.NET. By retrieving performance evaluation, user statisfaction and the advantages and disadvantages investigation of the system, the study draws some conclusions. Compared with SQL Server, Lucene.net, this study increases on the recall and user's sorting.
