Through the organic combination of oil exploration areas and computer technology, we realized logging oriented 2D visualization, improved the quality and efficiency of oil exploration. With the increase of requirements of logging oriented technology accuracy and vividness in oil exploration process, put the fast development of present computer processing performance and computer 3D graphics technology as foundation, logging oriented 3D visualization has become the important oil exploration field research direction.The research content of this thesis is strata 3D visualization of logging oriented technology, and this thesis puts forward a 3D modeling method that is suitable for strata in logging guidance technology, and based on Microsoft Visual studio.net 2003 and Direct3D, we simulate the 3D display of strata in logging oriented.This thesis is studied mainly on following aspects:(1) Study the current commonly used ordinary strata formation modeling methods, and on this basis this thesis put forward the suitable for 3D modeling method of strata in logging guidance technology;(2) Study the isoclines algorithm, and use this algorithm to process original data and get more data, making the 3D visualization realized effect more realistic in logging guidance technology of strata;(3) Study graphic drawing process and rendering methods in Direct3D;(4) Study two different types of modeling method in guidance technology of strata: according to the well depth modeling, and according to the true vertical depth modeling, and simulate realization of the two kinds of modeling method.Finally the thesis provides a summary and outlook, to achieve the purpose of practical application, the thesis puts forward some suggestions and a prospect for the next step of work.
