Logging technology is the most basic in the oil and gas exploration and development activities. It is the timely and the most direct means to discover and evaluate the oil and gas reservoirs. The development of an oriented logging system that has good generality and self-owned intellectual property is of great significance for the oil exploration industry in China. In the computer-assisted logging process,a large number of vector graphics need to be operated.According to the logging data, computer can automatically determine the occurrences of oil, gas, and water as well as to draw different types of logging graphs. At present, many logging oriented-systems are different in the ways of drawing vector graphics and storage formats.Besides, software does not have good generality, which is not convenient for its secondary development. This thesis is intended to puts forward that the documents to XML format are used to store two-dimensional vector graphics by a comparative analysis between three kinds of vector graphics markup language. The SVG 1.1 standard software is employed as the storage format of three-dimensional graphics and a preliminary study and exploration is made in the format and storage of logging-oriented vector graphics. Software manually adjusts the location and number of logging in the vector graphics, input and modify data, and according to the logging data, automatically generate three-dimensional vector graphics, vector graphics rotation along the Z-axis rotation, which solve the occlusion issue when vector graphics rotate. The generated SVG graphics can be very convenient for the browser in the mainstream view, improve the generality of logging graphics, and facilitate the secondary development of the system.
