The technology of Visualization in Scientific Computing is applied in the work of 3D visualization of the stratum contains faults in this thesis .It is one of the important study directions of 3D geoscience simulation. We must utilize science and information technology to improve the profit got by coal industry. It is necessary to express the main area and main coal seam out vividly through graph in order to reach the goal. The contour map of coal seam floor, the fault information of the coal seam and the geologic column are used as the basic information for modeling in this thesis. First, the author accomplished the method to geologic modeling for the stratum contains faults through modifying and carrying out a few algorithms. Second, the author bring forward independently a special way in order to carry out cutting open the 3D model of the stratum contains faults. Third, a few study productions of the theory problem in computational geometry are brought out in the last chapter of the thesis. They are as follow, an optimal algorithm for determining the convex hull of a finite planar point set, an algorithm for triangulation of planar point-set in O(nlogn)time, the fast algorithm for Delaunay triangulation of simple polygon based on maximum triangle weights.
