With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, UWB wireless communication system have been paid broad attention and application in the military field, the field of public utilities, consumer electronics and other fields in the world for its virtues, such as higher data transfer rate, high capacity of the channel, low power consumption, low cost, etc. Therefore, to study and improve the performance of UWB wireless communication system has important practical significance and scientific significance to the development of wireless communication technology. This paper describes the theory of correlative contents Characteristics of UWB signal propagation and UWB receiver technology. On the basis of Researching and Improving the channel model of UWB wireless communication system, a variety of UWB pulse modulation techniques was introduced. UWB systems on different channels in different RAKE receiver performance were analyzed based on the above channel model of UWB RAKE receiver key technologies, The main work of the thesis is summarized as follows:On channel modeling, first of all, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the main parameters of indoor channel propagation model. Some improvements were made based on the standard channel model. Optimize the channel basics on the characteristics of deterministic channel and non-deterministic channels. Presents a simulation to the channel impulse response, delay spread, the number of multi-path channel and analysis of the improved UWB multipath channel model features. Expound the problems of the standard UWB channel model. Compare the merits of two channels. As to receivers, the RAKE receiver structure is designed for the improved UWB channel model in order that it can distinguish the multi-path. Combine multipath components effectively so that the received energy can be maximized. IN the two major factors which affected the performance of RAKE receiver, using selective RAKE and partial RAKE as collection strategy of multipath components and maximum ratio combining strategy as the combined strategy. Comprehensive analysis and comparison of the actual performance under each strategy, simulates the BER of selective RAKE and partial RAKE in the condition of different number of branches in the multi-user environment.
