Internet has become the default platform for application development increasingly.With developer's increasingly complex requirements of applications, web applications can't always keep up the pace with the complex application. In order to improve the user experience, a new type of Internet application that is rich Internet applications appears.RIA contains the characteristics of web applications and desktop applications.As a web applications, it is of the ubiquitous, cross-platform, no additional configuration.As a desktop applications, it is of real-time response, extensive interactions. The advantage of RIA is also reflected in:rich expression, rapid response, the server load reduction, asynchronous communication, more efficient network and so on. JavaFX is used to build rich Internet application platform.JavaFX script language provides procedural and declarative syntax, having features with Functional language, unique data binding, seamless interaction with Java, etc.Based on this, this thesis combines the JavaFX technology with rich Internet application ideas and proposes to make use of JavaFX technology to build rich Internet applications system and create a solution to guide the development of rich Internet applications system.Firstly, this thesis elaborates the relevant content of rich Internet application, including RIA's concept, RIA's advantage, RIA's application prospect, the comparison of RIA's solutions. Secondly, this thesis designs a solution to build RIA, which is combined MVC model with the interface-driven software design and event-driven software design idea, and deeply research the JavaFX key technologies applied to the solution, including the scene graph, web services, animation, Multimedia. Then, we conduct system design, functional design, important documents design and scene design on 2010 World Cup accordance to the solution. Finally, we realize the whole application system based on the design including the realization of data acquisition and data analysis documents, the realization of animation and multimedia, the realization of the system interface and functionality.This study shows that it is feasible to use JavaFX technologies to build rich Internet application and convenient to use the solution designed in this thesis to guide the rich Internet application development based on JavaFX.The World Cup system realized in this thesis has features with rich expressive,asynchronous communication,real-time response,rich interactive, etc.The solution also has certain significance for large rich Internet applications system development.
