This paper presents an energy-saving control strategy based on the intelligent Agent technology to solve the problem of large-scale public buildings energy waste and the ineffective operation of intelligent building management system. The environmental information or data of buildings are acquired through the interation and cooperation of different agents. And, the building energy-saving optimization and control are realized based on such acquired data. The main contributions of this thesis include the following issues:In the first chapter, the situation of building energy waste, the shortage of the intelligent building technology and the research status of Multi-Agent technology are described. In the second chapter, the hardware platform of the Multi-Agent system is introduced. According to different functions, the Agents are divided into five categories which are the personnel Agent, the environment Agent, the room Agent, the device Agent and the management Agent. Also, the function and the hard circuit of each kind of intelligent Agent are introduced. In the third chapter, the software platform of the Multi-Agent system is developed. The realization of the software components includes both the Ethernet communication, the wireless network communication, and the serial communication between the management Agent and the GSM module. Also the database is designed to store data including temperature, humidty, illumination etc.In the fourth chapter, energy-saving control strategies are proposed, and a real platform of the Multi-Agent system is built in the information building of Shandong Jianzhu University. Also, experiments are made to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. In the fifth chapter, the content of this thesis is summarized, and the future work is pointed out.
