The thesis is based on a automation upgrade project of seamless steel pipe production line. Firstly, We introduce more about the current situation and development trend of the seamless steel tube industry both at home and abroad, then analy the process of seamless steel tube production line and the requirements about the entire control system. Based on the careful study of PROFIBUS-DP field bus, we design the field bus control system with a host computer WINCC, a Siemens S7-300PLC as the slave computer, 4 sets of ET200M and four S7-200PLC 6RA70 DC controller. The system can complete the information sharing, remote control and automation.In this thesis,we analysis the deficiencies of roll position control on seamless steel pipe production line, and deeply study the general position control algorithm. We design the roller position control system based on PLC and servo motor, and complete the installation and Debugging. The practical application showed that the design of the roll positioning system has improved the accuracy of position control roll, meeting the roll position control requirements of the seamless steel pipe production line. Such a positioning system also extended to the position control of perforated roller and the lead panel, further enhancing the automation level of seamless steel pipe production line, and improving the product quality.According to the deficiencies existing in the general position control algorithm, we established a servo system model based on the permanent magnet synchronous motor. The sliding mode control algorithm is introduced, and according to sliding mode control theory we designed a new speed and integration position control algorithm, through planning speed curve, to achieve the desired speed control and precise positioning, and proved that the design is reasonable through theoretical derivation. On this basis, the use of fuzzy control can compensate the external disturbance to the system, and the soften control signal reduced the inherent chattering phenomenon of the sliding mode control system, obtaining better simulation results. It can be promoted in the position of seamless steel pipe production line Application of the control system or control system in a similar promotion.
