In clothing industry, the researching and application of Garment CAD speeds the transformation of clothing industry. Moreover, the clothing industry has been under effect due to global financial crisis. To deal with the current situation, the Chinese export rebate rate in the textile industry has reached to the highest level and the clothing industry has been encouraged to industrial upgrading and reforming. In this context, it is especially important to strengthen the clothing technological transformations, to promote combination of clothing and information technology, and to accelerate the clothing industry turning from labor intensive to technology-intensive industry.At present,2-dimensional to 3 dimensional transformation research on garment CAD has been hot and difficulty issue. Once we solve the transform technology of 2-Dimensional to 3-Dimensional effect visualization, we can break through the restriction that the fitting effect can only be seen after the garment is made up With this benefit, The Company can respond to the market quickly and improve the competitiveness.This study is technically aimed at the society demand. By carding the conversion research on 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional, we find that the conversion technology are usually based on the digitized expression of stitching technology principle. This method was generally found difficulty to realize the 3-dimensional model effect of fold-over collar. Based on current situation, the research frame of this article is from initiative question, experiment design and its execution, collect and analyze data, seek for the rule, establish mathematical model, realize 3-dimensional visualization expression and proof-test. This study completes digitized expression and the visualization on fold-over collar. The main contents and achievement of this research are as follows:1,Study the related human body part characteristic, and analyze fold-over collar's 3-dimensional model, ascertain the key factors that effected its 3-dimensional model: Collar downwards line and collar neckline, and pick-up the 2-dimensional parameters which described the collar downwards line. This has provided the theory support to the research.2,Through the experiment, determined the scope of 2-dimensional parameter through the experiment, we designed and fabricated 63 sets of garment samples with different parameter combination and Segmentation.3,we designed and made the measuring tool named angle measuring instrument and the section measuring instrument which ensure the experiment getting on smoothly and got relatively accurate date. And using measuring instrument got 2-dimensional data which can transform to 3 dimensional models.4,According to the characteristic of fold-over collar's 3-dimensional model and the experimental data analysis, we has established the mathematical model. Firstly, we established the model of 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional model, which accept a group of experimental data and then carrying on the 3-dimensional model transformed that will simulate the collar's 3-dimensional model; Secondly, we has established the 2-dimensional surface interpolation model, which get the length data outside the experiment sample that survey through the experiment. The entire mathematical provides the model foundation as the three dimensional transformation visualization.5,Completed the visualization effect demonstration research with matlab. The 3-dimensional effect visualization system that demonstrated 2-dimensional parameter to 3-dimensional use the GUI of matlab to realize any 2-Dimensional parameters in the study turning to 3-Dimensional effect.6,Through contrasting the data between the proof-test and the corresponding parameter model and then taking the proof-test's data into the mathematical model to realize its three dimensional visualization effect, we confirmed the mathematical model accurate, feasible and effective. Finally has carried on the promotion and the forecast about the model.This study proposed a kind of new transformation method of 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional based on the combination of the clothing and the digitization. In the research we made special measuring tool which is innovative. The research result of digitized expression and the visualization study is effective, correct, and feasible. Therefore it provides a scientific way for the method of 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional, to which it has both academic value and practical value.
